Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has condemned Governor Abdul’aziz Abubakar Yari of Zamfara State and President Muhammadu Buhari for showing no concern over the killing of about 41 people in the state on Thursday by some gunmen. Yari was among the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors that visited the President in his hometown Daura on Friday.

The governors were in a closed-door meeting with the President and said after that they were there not for political reasons but to condole with him over the loss of two members of his extended family. But Fani-Kayode has called out the Zamfara governor whose state was just under attack the previous day, and also President Buhari for failing to express concern but instead chose to go for a meeting to strategise about 2019.

The ex-minister in a tweet on his Twitter handle called both leaders “ritualists” for their behaviour. He tweeted, “41 people slaughtered by Fulani terrorists in Zamfara and the Governor of Zamfara and our President refuse to express concern or go there.Instead they went to Daura for a meeting with APC governors to discuss 2019. Leaders don’t behave like this:only ritualists behave like this!”
