Newly appointed Lagos State Commissioner of the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tokunbo Wahab has emphasized the need to uphold the ministry’s mandate towards achieving a #GreenerLagos.
Wahab in his inaugural address called on Lagosians to join forces in making Lagos a clean, healthy, and habitable state for all.
He said “The mandate of the Ministry of Environment is of the utmost importance to us. Our primary goal is to secure a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment that promotes tourism, boosts economic growth, and enhances the overall well-being of the citizens.
We understand the significance of a pristine environment in ensuring a high quality of life for everyone. With your support, we will work towards achieving this vision and transform Lagos into a truly remarkable place to live and visit.
As I resume office today, I would like to assure all Lagosians that we are fully committed to delivering a #GreenerLagos. We are determined to create a cleaner and safer environment where the air we breathe is pure, the water we drink is safe, and the natural resources we have are protected. Your health, safety, and well-being are our top priorities, and we will employ all necessary measures to achieve these goals. Together, let us build a future where sustainability and progress go hand in hand.
