Representatives from the Delta State kingdoms of Warri and Uvwie arrived at Ajayi Crowther University in Oyo State on Wednesday in order to investigate the killing of Alex Timileyin, a student who was beaten to death by his peers last Saturday.
It was gathered that the deceased was a prince of the Delta kingdoms of Warri and Uvwie.
A delegation member named Yemi Otuedon posted footage from their visit to Facebook on Wednesday. She added that Efe Ofobruku and the late uncle, Yemi Emiko, led the tour.
Otuedon wrote, “A high-powered delegation from both Warri kingdom and Uvwie kingdom of Delta State led by Prince Yemi Emiko and Efe Ofobruku left the state and arrived at Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo to seek the whereabouts of their son Akro Alex Chamuke.
“Others in the delegation are Alex Eyengho, Clem Onotoye amongst others. Justice is all we seek, nothing but justice.”
In one of the videos, Otuedon explained that they came to the school to meet the university’s authority and then went to the mortuary to know the next line of action.
Another video revealed when the delegates went to the scene of the incident where Alex was beaten.
Explaining what ensued during their visit in pidgin, Otuedon said, in another video, “When we held the meeting, our late prince’s uncle, Uncle Yemi, asked where our prince was living.

“If you see where these children are staying, they are like prisoners. Despite the kind of money paid to the school.”
He further explained that on getting to his residence, they saw that the school had tidied up the deceased residence and arranged his things.
“They went to his residence and mopped the place and kept his things on the floor,” he said.
Otuedon added that they visited the mortuary where the deceased body was kept and discovered that the mortuary was “not working.”
He said, “After we left his residence, where he was beaten to death, we went to the police station. At the police station, we asked for approval to go to the mortuary.
“When we got to the mortuary, there were no other corpses there. Only our prince’s body was there. The mortuary is not working, his body was swollen.”
Elaborating on the condition of the body, he said, “There were injuries all over his head and body. If you saw the body, you would know it wasn’t a small bleed, and they went to clean the house (where he was beaten). They mopped it. Is that not a wicked school?”
