The Lagos State Police Command has revealed it is reviewing the CCTV footage of Ifeanyi, son of Davido who drowned in a swimming pool at their residence in Lagos on Monday.
Police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin who disclosed this to BBC said reviewing the CCTV footage was necessary to gather additional information about the incident that led to Ifeanyi’s death on Monday night.
He said: “We are reviewing the CCTV cameras the residence of Davido to get additional information about the circumstances of his death.”
“His body has been deposited in the morgue. We are in touch with his parents. In fact, they were with us last night,” Hundeyin added.
Hundeyin has also confirmed that six out of the eight domestic staff detained over Ifeanyi’s death have been released while the nanny and cook remain in custody.
“I spoke with the DPO and he said the nanny and the cook have been detained. Other domestic workers brought in for questioning were released,” he said.
Ifeanyi died eleven days after celebrating his third birthday on October 20 with his dad and mum Chioma Rowland.
