It was a scenario of sorrow and mourning when the news of the death of a 500 level student of the Benue State University (BSU) Makurdi, Victor-David Egbe was announced on Wednesday morning.
Apostle Victor was a medical student and also the pastor and founder of Campus Witness Church before his untimely death.
One of his friends who shared the sad news on the social media said that the young pastor slumped at the Clinic while praying for a sick friend.
He was reportedly rushed to the hospital but the pastor gave up the ghost on the way.
Pastor Victor’s friends and colleagues shared their heartfelt notes on social media.

Who Could Believe what we have Heard! The Weirdest news ever. Yesterday u Victor Egbe Chatted with so many of us as its xtic of u to check on your friends n Gods Children under ur pastorship,
Then you went to pray for a Sick friend in d hospital. Then they said u slumped while praying. And that even on d ground u were still praying but sustained a cut, then u were rushed to d hospital.
Then before reaching the hospital u gave up. Really trying to make a meaning out of this but to no avail.
How can I describe you? What words can I use to express my feelings? God, WHY? He is ur servant who has tremendously touched the lives of many YOUTHS
Teaching n Preaching the gospel with so much energy and vigour with a rare passion hard to find among many other Ministers. Can’t believe your once energised body n spirit now lay in the Morgue Lifeless. Sleep on and rest wt ur master the good lord who has called u home. Adieu Apostle Dr. Victor David Egbe (Pastor n founder, Campus Witness Church).
From Mercy
Each day, Life gives us something to think about. To be humble enough to realise. To accept. To know and be convinced that the true essence of life is God.I am so sad.I just lost an important person. Rev. Apostle Victor Egbe. He was a friend, a brother and a spiritual mentor.I just wish I could turn back the hands of time. So many things I wish to tell u Apostle. But I kept procrastinating. Believing that u’d always be here with me, for me. Am so sorry that you left like this. I know one day when the world ends. And I get to see God, there would be lots of questions I would want to ask God. But my first question would be. Why he took you away from me?
I miss u. I surely will. You’ve played a vital role in sharpening me into becoming who I am today. Please rest on.
