The Chief Executive Officer of The Architects Place Ltd, Mr. Teju Ajayi on Thursday joined public-spirited Nigerians in the fight against the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the state with the donation of several cartons of hand sanitizers to be distributed across many public schools in the state.

Presenting the donation at a brief ceremony in Alausa, Lagos, through the office of the Special Adviser on Education, Ajayi said as millions of pupils are set to resume academic exercise next week, he considered the donation timely and a little way of supporting the Lagos State government to battle the spread of the viral disease and protect the innocent children from contracting it.

“We want to appreciate the government of Lagos State for giving us the opportunity to be part of the fight against the pandemic that has been ravaging the entire globe. As a corporate entity, TAPL has enjoyed the enabling environment provided by the successive administrations in Lagos State, particularly Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration, to carry out our businesses.

“On behalf of myself, my entire staff and TAPL as an organization, we commend the dynamic efforts of the State governor and his team in tackling this raging pandemic.

“Coincidently, our company clocked 10 this September, same month the schools are resuming after a long period of lockdown and as part of the 10th year anniversary celebrations of our firm, we have decided to present to the state cartons of handwashing essentials to ensure that our children are safe as they resume in their various schools,” Ajayi said.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the State government, Barr. Tokunbo Wahab, the Special Adviser on Education to the Lagos State Governor thanked the TAPL boss for the kind gesture.

He described the donation as truly timely and very important as it will assist greatly in curbing the spread of the virus among the children as they resume their academic activities.

Wahab said the essentials will be distributed evenly across schools in the state and enjoined other corporate organizations to take a cue from the TAPL boss in ensuring that the children are well taken care of as well as mitigating the impact of the pandemic in the State as a whole.

The Special Adviser on behalf of the State exco later congratulated the renowned architect on the 10th year anniversary of his firm as well as he clocked 40 on Friday, September 11.

“As we appreciate this kind gesture, we want to congratulate Architect Teju on the 10th anniversary of his firm as well as wishing him our heartfelt 40th birthday celebration. We wish him 60 more years in good health,” the Special Adviser prayed.
