Seven policemen have been killed by unknown gunmen on patrol along the Nnamdi Azikiwe Road, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
According to reports, the gunmen shot the police personnel and zoomed off immediately.
It was gathered that the corpses of the policemen were later evacuated from the scene in a police van.
Reacting to the incident, Commissioner of Police in Abuja, Sadiq Bello, said he was still being briefed and hence could not provide details of the attack.
