The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has announced that the Second Niger Bridge will be completely open to motorists on May 15, 2023.
Fashola confirmed the completion of the Loko-Oweto Bridge and link roads between Benue and Nasarawa states during an inspection on Tuesday.
He said that the project was undergoing some finishing touches such as lane markings and signage.
The flag-off ceremony is expected to be done by President Muhammadu Buhari. Fashola also gave assurances that the Lagos-Ibadan expressway will be completed by April 30.
The Second Niger Bridge was previously opened for one month during the yuletide in December 2022 and later closed to traffic on January 15, 2023.
