REVEALED: How Davido’s Personal Photographer Died Today In Lekki

Published

on

Davido’s official photographer Fortunate Umunname Peter aka Fortune is dead.

He died three months after the hit maker’s close friend and associate, Habeeb Ademola Uthman aka Obama DMW passed on.

Davido had also lost his bodyguard of six years, Ogbeide Tijani Olamilekan (Teejay) in 2020.

In 2017, Davido lost two friends and team members, Tagbo and DJ Olu.

According to reports, Fortune was invited to a video shoot location at a private beach In Tarkwabay for a video shoot where he was supposed to take the footage from the shoot.

On their way to the shoot, the boat conveying him and the rest crew capsized.

According to a close source, “it was a location for a video shoot and they were already in high spirit before the boat they rented to convey them capsized due to the waves on the sea.”

Fortune should have survived like many people did on the boat but he was not wearing a live jacket that’s why he drowned when the boat capsized. Before the rescue team arrived at the scene, he has drowned drinking lots of water”. It was a scary scene as his death is on the list of those around Davido who has lost their lives in the past 4 years.

“It’s a shocking situation coming after the 30BG crew are yet to recover from Obama 44’s death few months ago. We pray and comfort with his family because he is the breadwinner of his family and he is a jolly good fellow.” the source further added.

On January 10, 2022, the worldwide popular song ‘Love Nwantiti’ by Nigerian musician CKay was certified Gold in the United States. This happened after the album was declared Gold in the United Kingdom and France.

In 2020, the record surpassed chart streams all over the world, topping key charts. This made history, establishing CKay as Africa’s most popular musician on Spotify. In the United States, such prestigious movements as obtaining the Gold Plaque occur when an album sells the equivalent of 500,000 copies through streaming and raw CD sales.

The hit tune “Love Nwantiti” was first published by Chocolate City in 2019, but a year later, a remix featuring Joeboy and Kwami Eugene was released, and it quickly became a hit.

The original version of the hit song ‘Love Nwantiti,’ not the remix, made ripples in the United States, earning him the Gold Plaque.

“When I came here, I had a master plan,” he remarked of his road to the limelight when he arrived in Lagos in 2014. I had the ability to both produce and write. He continues, “At one point, that was all I had to offer.” He had to develop and write for a long before publishing his own tracks, which brought him to Chocolate City and then Warner Music in 2020.
