Nigeria’s President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will on Wednesday depart Abuja for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, on a three-day official visit.
On Tuesday, Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, announced that President Tinubu’s upcoming trip is taking place at the invitation of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.
According to the statement, upon arrival, Tinubu will meet with Mbasogo at the presidential villa, where they will engage in discussions focused on agreements related to oil and gas, as well as security.
“The President will be accompanied on the trip by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other members of his cabinet who will be involved in the signing of agreements and review of opportunities to improve bilateral relations,” the statement reads.
In April, Tinubu visited The Netherlands at the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
The president engaged in high-level discussions with the prime minister, and held separate meetings with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Kingdom.
