Nigeria’s President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, finally moved to Aso Rock on Sunday night two months after his inauguration.

But, while the president’s official mansion was being renovated, he relocated to the Glass House, which is normally used as a transit facility.

Since his inauguration, he has been functioning from a private property in Asokoro, although the security precautions have resulted in public complaints of excessive traffic as a result of road closures and limitations.

“He finally moved on Sunday night because of public complaints over the traffic congestion around his movements,” a presidency official said.

“He too was unhappy with the discomfort to the public but the official residence is still not ready, so he decided to move to the Glass House.”

It was gathered that the residence would be ready in August.

In 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari moved to the residence three weeks after his inauguration.
