Olukoya Ogungbeje, the former lawyer of alleged kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, was on Wednesday arrested within the premises of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos State by policemen from the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba.
Ogungbeje was arrested as he stepped out of his car in the parking lot.
The lawyer withdrew from Evans’ case over differences with the alleged billionaire kingpin.
He was accused of employing time-wasting tactics by the police at some time during the trial before he withdrew.
