Igbo cultural body Ohanaeze Ndigbo has said the “political future of Ndigbo lies on God and not on any man” as the 2019 election draws near.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had on Tuesday at the Southeast APC mega rally in Imo State, said the political future of Igbo in Nigeria, depends on his re-election in 2019.
“2019 is an election that will make or mar the chances of Igbo in Nigeria,” Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha who represented Buhari had said. “I want Igbo to make a paradigm shift.”
However, the Ohanaeze in a statement said, “The political future of Ndigbo lies on God and not on any man. Nobody should play God over the political fate of Ndigbo.
“We have nothing against President Buhari’s re-contest but nobody should threaten or cajole us with that.
“The actions, utterances and activities of any presidential candidate for 2019 will determine if Ndigbo would identify with his or her aspiration in 2019.”

The fact remains that the 1967 to 1970 BIAFRA/NIGERIA war is and would continue to remain a MISNOMER. It should have been called WORLD WAR III; in view of the world powers that fought on the side of Nigeria. It is a misnomer because for an AFRICAN COUNTRY, BIAFRA was forced into defending itself without due preparation. In spite of that, Biafra was able to defend itself having been blocked in air,land and sea; preventing us to food, medicine, and other necessary survival materials. Hence, the other name for that war should be correctly termed the genocidal WORLD WAR III. Based on this, the war was not between BIAFRA AND NIGERIA; for if it were, NIGERIA knew and knows that they were not a match to BIAFRA. Look at what happened on how NIGERIA/BIAFRA LANDS WERE SOLD TO CAMEROON, NIGER, CHAD , THE BRITISH ETC. just to fight For them! To conclude, for Buhari to insinuate that the lifes of Ndi Igbo is in his hands, confirms how ignorant and clueless he is. We are children of CHUKWU OKIKE ABIAMA. THERE IS NOTHING HE CAN DO TO US EXCEPT CHUKWU OKIKE ABIAMA ORDAINS IT. TIME WILL TELL.
