The President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has reconciled the warring factions in the Osun State chapter of the party ahead of the governorship election in the state.

Saraki reunited the factions on Wednesday at a meeting where a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed.

The party broke into factions after the governorship primaries threw up Senator Ademola Adeleke as the candidate.

Not satisfied with the development, another aspirant, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, went his way.
But Saraki on Wednesday reconciled Ogunbiyi and Adeleke.

Saraki, who is the head of the PDP campaign team for the election, announced the development on his Twitter handle: “Following marathon meetings this morning in Abuja, I am pleased to announce that we have a signed agreement between PDP gubernatorial candidate, Sen. Ademola Adeleke and his rival, Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi. As we approach the September 22, 2018 governorship election, our party moves forward as one.”
