Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA Chairman, Hon. Razaq Olusola Ajala on Friday, 21st December 2018 launched a New Sanitation Corps, Refuse Collection Trucks and Public School Buses for residents of the local council.

Speaking to PorscheClassy News, Ajala stated that the newly acquired items serves as a catalyst to ensure the utmost cleanliness, good health and total well being of the people in Odi-Olowo LCDA.
Continuing, he said the school buses were gotten as a result of the numerous complaints about the state of commuting of the children within the LCDA to and fro their various schools. He said the buses will help to serve the students within the LCDA and would also be operated by experienced personnel who will work based on schedules as directed.
Hon. Razaq Olusola Ajala while highlighting the objectives of the initiative said the inclusion of road managers in the workforce is aimed at maintaining a cleaner and healthier environment, prevention and control of the spread of diseases and contribution to the good health of the citizenry.
In an exclusive interview with PorscheClassy News, Hon. Rasaq Olusola Ajala said:
” These Buses that we have gotten for free transportation and the 135 Generators with the Boreholes dug across the LCDA has brought an end to the amount which is been spent on both water and transportation by the commuters and members which sums up to 15,000 naira monthly.
“There are more developments to come for our Local Government but I urge everyone to pay their levies and taxes so that together we can make more things happen for good.
He laid emphasis on the services of the community sanitation team and officers within the locality which Includes: Street Sweeping, Removal Of Junk, Removal of silt & resultant waste and Enforcement of rules guiding Street Sweeping.
Ajala also highlighted notable deeds of his administration in the first 365 days in office for the community, he spoke about his administrations success in five major categories.
Health Sector: Maternal and Child health week, Medical Mission in collaboration with Rotary Club Ilupeju, Monkey Pox Virus Sensitization & Advocacy and so on…
Education: Free GCE forms to indigent students in the LCDA, Donation of Home Economics equipments to Adeleye Primary School, Free Mathematics Workbooks with past questions and answers to Basic 3 students in the LCDA and lots more…
Works and Infrastructure: Completion of on-going construction of 4-rooms office for the use of Staff. (Lagos @ 50 BLOCK), Rehabilitation of roads at Abiodun, fafolu, kumuyi and some other areas, in addition to the completion of drainage projects at Ago-Owu, Alhaji Otta and several others.
Information Management: Building of official website for the council and construction and placement of complaints boxes at strategic location within the LCDA.
Waste and Sanitation: Regular mopping up of refuse around the LCDA, Regular sensitization around the LCDA, Regular desilting of drains around the LCDA and lots more.
Hon. Rasaq Olusola Ajala seized the occasion to appeal to the people of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA to pay their levies and rates promptly to enable more developments across the LCDA.
