The Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) has congratulated Dangote Refinery on its groundbreaking commencement of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) production.
In a letter to Dangote Group’s President/CEO, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, NUPENG’s General Secretary, Afolabi Olawale, described the achievement as “a monumental step forward” for Nigeria’s energy independence and economic growth.
The union expressed enthusiasm for the opportunities this development will bring, including: “…employment for Nigerians, socio-economic prosperity, and monumental growth of our dear country.”
NUPENG praised President Bola Tinubu and Alhaji Aliko Dangote, stating:
“The leadership and entire members of the NUPENG, celebrate and felicitate with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu… Alhaji Aliko Dangote, and the entire management team and staff of Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Company on the historic and landmark commencement of the production of gasoline, otherwise known as Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).”
“It has been long anticipated and awaited with bated breath and prayers not only by Nigerians but by the entire continent of Africa.

“Alhaji Aliko Dangote, your visionary leadership and relentless pursuit of excellence have been instrumental in achieving this feat. Your contributions to the industrialization and economic development of Africa are truly commendable, and we are proud to witness the positive impact of your endeavours on our nation.
