- Ojo and Alimosho still pending
Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has established a slim lead in the presidential election in Lagos state.
He is currently ahead of the pack with victories in 11 of the 18 LGAs announced, while Peter Obi, candidate of the Labour Party (LP), is a close second.
Obi has so far won in the remaining seven LGAs.
The results from Ojo and Alimosho LGAs will be announced once the collation center reconvenes at 10 am on Monday.
As it stands after 18 LGAs, the APC candidate has 488,063 votes, LP has 471,944 while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has polled 63,773.
The (LP) presidential candidate had earlier won in Ikeja LGA of the state.
Ikeja is the local government area of the standard bearer of the APC.
Obi secured 30,004 votes in Ikeja, while Tinubu polled 21,276 and Atiku had 2,280.
There are 10 wards in the LGA, with 322,600 registered voters and 57,530 accredited to vote. The INEC REC said the total valid votes were 55, 062 while the rejected votes stood at 2,468
There was no vote cancellation in the LGA.
Lagos state is regarded as the major stronghold of the APC presidential candidate, having served as governor from 1999 to 2007.
