It was a dramatic moment in Oke’lewo area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital as a prostitute threatened to kill her customer over unpaid N17,000 service charge.
According to a report, early Monday, the client simply identified as Samuel was seen scampering to safety amidst cry for help.
An eyewitness who spoke on condition of anonymity said Samuel’s distress cry caught the attention of traders, passerby and motorists in the area which made activities stand still.
When Samuel was screaming for help a passerby took pity on him and asked him to join him on the bike for rescue.
Eyewitness recounted said that the event took another turn when, the prostitute, simply identified as Adeola suddenly arrived the scene on a bike and claimed that the guy rescued was a thief. She said “Help me, the man stole my phone.”
This got him in a state of confusion and he, in company of some guys and security men in the area, ran after Samuel who was running towards a deserted place within the Oke’lewo axis.
After an intensive search for him, they eventually spotted Samuel in one of the abandoned houses near the proposed Shop rite, opposite OPIC building.
Hell was let loose and he was about to be lynched but while he (Samuel) narrated what actually transpired between him and Adeola, the prostitute.
On interrogation, Samuel pleaded “Please don’t kill me”, I am not a thief, the lady (Adeola) is a prostitute. I had fun with her last night on agreement to pay a service charge of N17,000.
After our rounds of sex, I did a transfer of the agreed amount but didn’t deliver due to poor service. After explaining to her, she refused to believe him, saying that I was lying and she has been chasing me around ever since”, he confessed.
While Samuel was still confessing, Adeola arrived the scene on bike shouting “kill him, he’s a thief, he must die.”
But upon interrogation Adeola confessed that she was truly a prostitute, adding that Samuel had had fun with her a night before but yet to pay for the service that is why she is threatening to kill him.
However, the security personnel at the scene settled the issue amicably between the duo and Samuel was asked to go in peace.
