Moshood Salvador, Lagos State Director General, presidential support committee for President Muhammadu Buhari, Yemi Osinbajo’s re-election bid, has mocked Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, saying the party is broke and cannot fund its campaigns which is a sign of early failure in the forthcoming elections.

Salvador, a former chairman of the party in Lagos State, speaking to Saturday INDEPENDENT noted that the ruling APC would sweep all the votes in the State because the opposition has exhibited by its inability to fund its campaigns, surrendered to the party which had superior candidates.

He noted that the party lacked the wherewithal to stand the contest, asking if there was any sign or readiness on the part of the party in the electoral contest, as their posters were not visible around the State.

The politician, who had earlier launched some campaign vehicles at his campaign office in Lagos, stressed that PDP was not in any way a match to his party because from the look of things, the party did not exist in the State anymore and that Lagos people knew what they wanted, which was why they had rejected the party and had decided to align with a winning party that would deliver hope to them.

Adding, “We are going to deliver one million votes to the party in Lagos. I know that the people are already working assiduously to ensure that we achieve that and continue to give good governance to our people, through our next level agenda.”

Continuing he said, “PDP is not a party to trust, it has failed the people and the people in turn have rejected it. The party’s inability to campaign in the state is also an indication that it has accepted defeat ahead of the forthcoming general elections,” Salvador said.

The APC chieftain appealed to Lagosians to use their permanent voters cards (PVCs) wisely and ensure that PDP was permanently silenced in the State, stressing that PDP as it stood, could not even afford to keep agents at polling booths.
