Following the controversy that accompanied the selection of some individuals as ministers, President Bola Tinubu has replaced a Kano State ministerial nominee, Maryam Shetty, with another appointee, Dr Maigari Mahmud, and added the name of Festus Keyamo.
The addition of Keyamo’s name brought the total number of cabinet nominees to 48, supposedly the highest since the country’s restoration to democracy in 1999.
