The Senate has gone into a closed-door meeting to discuss the list of ministerial nominees submitted by the Presidency.
The meeting began shortly after the Senate took up the petitions on the Order Paper.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, the Senate Oesannounced the meeting at about 11:59 am after the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, made the announcement.
According to Vanguard, a source said that the list of nominees is already creating problems among the senators, which is why the meeting was called.
The source also said that the Senate President had met with major stakeholders on Wednesday in a meeting that lasted several hours.
