Adeniran Jerimiah, a 29-year-old Lagos State e-hailing driver and accounting graduate, was arrested for robbing a female passenger.
Jerimiah was apprehended in a shop in the state’s Ikotun district while attempting to purchase an item. One of his prior victims, who was in the same business then, spotted him and warned the public.
He claimed that the increase in petrol prices due to the elimination of fuel subsidies drove him to loot.
