For allegedly failing to fulfil his electoral promises, a man who trekked when the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari was announced in 2015, Isa Mohammed Munlaila, has declared the All Progressives Congress dead.
In addition to that, Munlaila has also commenced another trek from Lagos to Abuja to express his opposition to Buhari’s reelection ahead of the 2019 polls.
Munlaila, who spoke with newsmen in Lagos on Thursday as he commenced the trek, said Nigerian youths were angry with Buhari for failing the nation after three years at the helm of affairs.
He lamented that people were suffering as the standard of living had fallen.
Bearing a box with the Green-White-Green colour of Nigeria on his head, with the inscription: “R.I.P APC,” Munlaila said he was one of the many excited Nigerians who allegedly trekked for the APC in 2015.
Munlaila, from Borno State, told newsmen as he started out on the journey, which he said will take him between 18 and 20 days: “Actually, I want to show my disappointment for this APC.
“As you can see, the youths of this country are very angry.
“APC promised us heaven on earth, they promised us three million jobs in a year, but now, we don’t even have 500,000 jobs in four year.
“I trekked during the victory in 2015.
“We all trekked to celebrate the victory because there was a change in the government and we thought we got change.
“Nobody motivated me.
“I have my money and I use my money to do what I want to do.
“I am just representing the youths of this country.”
Munlaila, who started the journey on Otedola Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, added: “As you can see, I am starting another trek.
“I want the youths to be employed.
“I am not for any party.
“I am only for anyone who has the youths at heart.”
