Popular Nollywood Actress, Toyin Abraham, has debunked the news flying around that she’s been signed on by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as an ambassador to replace Funke Akindele-Bello who was recently arraigned in a Lagos court for violating the social distancing order of the Lagos State Government.
Speaking with PorscheClassy News over a telephone chat a few minutes ago, the celebrated actress who’s now popularly called ‘Mummy Ire‘ said ‘ I am not an Ambassador for NCDC, the agency does not have an ambassador; they never had one before now”.
Continuing, Toyin said “The TV Advert you saw is a sensitization project I did for the NCDC in conjunction with the United Nations (UN) and other health agencies.
In her words, she said ‘I’ve been on NCDC’s project since the outbreak of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic, I was called for the job alongside some other colleagues of mine so I am not alone on this project.
The ever-lively thespian said she got on the project cause of her love for her fans.
