Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) have stormed the streets of Lagos State to express their grievances over the current economic hardship.
In addition, they are opposing the government’s purported inability to carry out the agreements that both sides made on October 2, 2023, when the fuel subsidy was removed.
The decision was made after the Federal Government was given a 14-day ultimatum to take action against the widespread misery.
The meeting between the federal government and the NLC last night ended in deadlock as the union vowed to kick off the protest.
The NLC members in their numbers stormed the Ikeja underbridge and were seen singing and dancing while calling on the government to give listening ears to their demands.
