BREAKING: Finally, Festus Keyamo Becomes A SAN After Nine Attempts

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has approved prominent human rights lawyer, Festus Keyamo, along with 29 others as Senior Advocates Of Nigeria (SAN).

Keyamo was shortlisted in 2014, 2015 and 2016, but failed to make the final cut.

Keyamo made the announcement via his official twitter handle.

Also approved were the Attorney-General of Kwara State, Mr Lamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade and a former DG of the National Copyrights Commission, Professor Adebambo Adewopo. 156 lawyers applied, 72 were shortlisted and only 30 were approved by the NJC.

This year made it the ninth time Keyamo had been denied the rank. He had been previously invited for the final interview four times before he was shortlisted for the exercise for the fifth time this year. He had been previously been invited for interview by the LPPC five times.
