BREAKING: Court Sends Ex-Gov. Babangida Aliyu, PDP Governorship Candidate To Prison

A High Court in Minna, Niger State has ordered that a former Governor of Niger State, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu, alongside the Peoples Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate in the 2015 governorship elections, Umar Mohammed Nasko, be remanded in prison.

Justice Aliyu M. Mayaki gave the ruling on Tuesday.

Mayaki said Aliyu and Nasko should remain in prison till May 3, 2017 when their application for bail would be heard.

The duo were arraigned on Tuesday at the High Court in suit number: NSHC/EFCC/2C/2017: Federal Republic of Nigeria versus Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu and Umaru Mohammed Nasko.
