Ahmed Ali, the Commissioner for Finance in Borno State, has passed away.
Usman Tar, the Commissioner for Information and Internal Security, confirmed Ali’s death in a statement released on Monday.
According to Tar, Ali’s body was discovered in his room on Monday morning.
He’s been laid to rest at 5:00 p.m., with burial rites taking place at his family home on Damboa Road, behind Indimi’s residence in Borno.
This latest loss comes as Governor Babagana Zulum mourns the death of two cabinet members within a year.
In January, Isah Gusau, the Special Adviser on Public Relations and Strategy, passed away after battling a heart condition.
