A dad, Archibong Patrick, has killed his four children, who were asleep, and then also himself.
The incident occurred on Tuesday in Alesha community near Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Patrick, said to be 35, had chased away his wife from their two-room apartment before carrying out the dastardly at.
As Patrick’s wife fled from the house shouting for help, the man went after the four children aged one, three, five and eight.
He set the home ablaze and hanged himself around 1am after killing the children.
The development has been confirmed by the Police.
The spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, said the remains of Patrick and his children have been evacuated from the burnt house.
