Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun has lauded former President Olusegun Obasanjo for his sacrifice for the nation’s unity. Amosun made the remark in a statement on Sunday meant to celebrate Obasanjo who turns 81 years on Monday.
He described the former Military Head of State as one who had showed exceptional passion for the socio-economic development of the country and well-being of Nigerians.“His service to the nation can be summarised as that of total sacrifice and exceeding zeal to ensure that Nigeria is great. Even incarceration did not douse his vision,” Amosun noted.
“This is an international figure, a distinguished Nigerian and an illustrious son of Ogun State, a shining star, whose enviable reputation has not been diminished by diverse challenges.”
