“What a journey it has been — 60 years of grace, passion, and dedication on stage, captured beautifully in my 83rd pictures,” she wrote. “None of this would have been possible without an amazing team that brought this vision to life.”

Mama Rainbow had earlier announced plans for a celebration tour across Egypt, the United States, and Canada, marking her 83rd birthday alongside her six-decade-long career in the film industry.

“This celebration is more than just a birthday; it is a tribute to her legacy, her strength, and the joy she has shared with many people over the years. Every step of the journey reflects spirit vibrant, graceful, and full of life,” she noted.

According to the actress, the first leg of the celebration will be held in Cairo, Egypt, from October 15 to 20, featuring a special performance by Fuji musician Saheed Osupa.

She added that the Canadian edition of the event will follow on October 24, with performances from Alabi Pasuma and other stars of the Yoruba film industry.

Born on October 16, 1942, in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Mama Rainbow began acting in the 1970s and has since become one of Nollywood’s most respected figures, admired for her longevity, versatility, and grace on and off the screen.
