According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, new voter registration reached 5,173,335 in the third quarter of the current Continuous Voter Registration nationally.
INEC also revealed that 2,665,421 registrants have completed online and physical registration in its weekly CVR update for Quarter 3, Week 3 in Abuja on Monday.
According to the most recent figures, there were 1,344,813 men and 1,320,608 women.
People with disabilities accounted for 24,723 of the total, while teenagers aged 18 to 34 accounted for 1,854,371.
It was also stated that 1,092,742 of the 2,665,421 people who completed their registrations did it online, while 1,572,679 did so physically.
The update also revealed that INEC had received 8,550,561 applications.
The total figure includes applications for voter transfer, requests for replacement of Permanent Voter Cards, and updates of voter information records, among others.
Gender distribution of the applications revealed that 4,572,235 were male and 3,978,326 were female, while 87,733 of the applications were from PWDS across all categories.
