The senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani has made his feelings known about the demands for President Muhammadu Buhari to visit places where crises and killings have taken place in the country.
Senator Sani said that those who are demanding that the president should visit the states in crises are doing what is right. The lawmaker was making the statement on the heels of President Buhari’s visit to Kano for the wedding of daughter of governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Fatima, and Idris, the son of Abiola Ajimobi, of Oyo state governor.
Buhari on Saturday alongside national leader, Bola Tinubu and other dignitaries stormed Kano in celebration of Ganduje’s daughter wedding. Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has also criticised Buhari for not visiting Benue, Taraba, Borno and other states where killings and abductions have been recorded this year.
Sani in his reaction, commended those clamouring for Buhari visit to Rann, Taraba , Benue and other parts of the country in turmoil in a Twitter post. The lawmaker described the call for Buhari to visit the states in turmoil as putting the president in the right place as the father of nation.
He tweeted, “Those telling the President to visit Dapchi,Taraba,Rann & Benue are not enemies of the President, they are people who want him to be in the right place at the right time as a our leader,as a human being,as a father;for history and for morality.”
