Sanusi Hires Top Lawyers To Stop His Removal As Emir Of Kano [SEE LIST]
Emerging reports say that Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II has set up a legal team made up of at least three Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SANs) and other lawyers.
The lawyers are:
1. Lateef Fagbemi (SAN)
2. Kola Awodein (SAN)
3. A.B Mahmoud (SAN) president of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA)
Other top counsels who are yet to be named are also on the team.
The reports also claim that the legal team are already working on legal applications that are set to be filed in Kano High Court today, Thursday, May 11.
Recall that PorscheClassy had earlier reported that Kano State Assembly filed 8-count charges of corruption against Sanusi.
Emir Sanusi who has been in the news recently for lambasting the Nigerian government for not showing any evidence that it is fighting corruption may have stepped on toes according to feelers.
