The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced that its X (formerly Twitter) account is currently undergoing upgrades, causing temporary inaccessibility.
Dele Oyewale, EFCC spokesperson, stated, “Our X account is down temporarily due to ongoing upgrades and we will soon bounce back.”
He clarified that the account was not hacked, but rather experiencing downtime for system upgrades to better serve the public.
Oyewale assured that the agency’s website and other social media pages, such as Facebook and Instagram, remain functional.
The EFCC’s X account, which had over two million followers, currently displays a message saying, “The term you entered did not bring up any results. Please try again later.”
The upgrade is intended to improve the commission’s online presence and engagement with the public.
