The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria and the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers have suspended their one-week-old strike.
The strike was called off after a meeting with the Federal Government by the oil workers’ union, which ended in the wee hours of Wednesday.
The meeting, which was reported to have ended at 1am on Wednesday, was attended by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige; the leadership of the oil workers’ unions; and representatives of International Oil Companies.
