One of Nigeria’s most sought after medley artistes, Seun Bankole, popularly known as SB Live, has signed a new management deal with Massimo Entertainment owned by renowned entertainment entrepreneur, Layinka Oyedeji.

Oyedeji was masked musician, Lagbaja’s manager, for over a decade.

According to Oyedeji, “Massimo Entertainment’s decision to formally sign SB Live to a management deal was based on the awareness that as an artiste, he is growing exponentially, and we feel he needs to concentrate more on churning out good music while we help him coordinate the business aspect including new projects and tours.
More so, we understand the industry and its intricacies and can help him navigate seamlessly.”

Describing Bankole as one of the most talented live band artistes he has ever worked with, and he has worked with quite a few, Oyedeji traced their relationship to over a decade ago.

“SB Live was a diamond in the rough when I spotted him as a back-up artiste around 2006/7. I knew there was something about him and went ahead to help him set up a band and began performing at The Place (G.R.A, Ikeja).

In 2010, he moved to Troy Lounge (Ogba, Lagos) which became the platform that launched him into the big time. So, we know his drive and determination, we know what a bigger brand he can be and we are set to help him achieve his dreams.”

In the intervening years, SB has evolved into one of Nigeria’s in-demand bands, performing a medley of contemporary and vintage Nigerian and foreign songs from Fuji, juju, blues, country to afro beats and Apala among others at high profile weddings and such ceremonies at home and abroad.

In fact, he has toured the United States of America twice in the last two years. He has also churned out a couple of mixtapes and singles, the latest being ‘Garden Party’, which video was shot by Storiesbyzeez and is set for release this week.

As part of the new deal, the gangling artiste and his SB Live Crew will commence a weekly gig at upscale bar and lounge, 2G1, in Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, from Wednesday, November 7th.

Oyedeji concluded, “With this new gig, we would transform the Wednesday nightlife in Ikeja for good. SB has done it before and he would do it again. Now, his fans know where to connect with him on a weekly basis. It is a new chapter for both parties.”
