Abuja Police deployed tear gas to thwart #endbadgovernance protesters from entering Eagles Square, defying a Federal Capital Territory order limiting the demonstration to MKO Stadium.

On Wednesday, Justice Sylvanus Oriji granted the restriction in response to an ex-parte application by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

However, protesters rejected the directive, marching towards Eagles Square, their original planned venue.

As they approached, police fired tear gas, creating a barrier of smoke that halted the crowd’s advance, preventing them from reaching the square.
