An ad hoc committee set up by the Kaduna house of assembly has recommended the probe of Nasir el-Rufai, former governor of the state.
El-Rufai is charged with money laundering and illegal misappropriation of public funds.
The majority of the loans that the el-Rufai administration received, according to committee chairman Henry Zacharia, were utilised for different objectives when he delivered the report to the group on Wednesday during plenary.
El-Rufai served as Kaduna’s governor from 2015 until 2023.
