Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Kemi Nandap, announced on Tuesday that individuals based in the diaspora who are sponsoring the #EndBadGovernance protests have been added to the Service’s watchlist.

Although she did not disclose specific names, Nandap stated that these individuals will be apprehended upon their arrival in Nigeria and handed over to the relevant authorities.

This revelation was made during a meeting with heads of security agencies and Service Chiefs in Abuja.

Nandap further stated that the Immigration Service has enhanced its presence at land and airport borders by deploying additional personnel to ensure effective monitoring of entry points.

The Service has also intensified surveillance efforts to prevent external interference in the country’s affairs.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of the Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi, revealed that the agency has identified some sponsors of the protests but declined to provide further details.

Represented by the Service’s Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya, Bichi stated that certain accounts linked to the sponsors have been blocked, with some of the individuals operating these accounts being monitored from abroad.
