A heavy downpour in the early hours of Thursday compelled protesters to call off their planned demonstration in Imo State, leaving the streets deserted.
Despite being mobilized, the group’s efforts were temporarily hindered by the unfavorable weather conditions.
As a result, typically bustling streets like Wetheral Road, Douglas Road, and Bank Road were eerily empty, with residents opting to stay indoors due to uncertainty.
Offices and businesses also closed their doors, adding to the sense of unease that gripped the city.
The usually vibrant streets were replaced with an unsettling stillness, as the rain-soaked roads remained empty and quiet.
