Nigeria’s Super Eagles have landed safely at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano State, following a harrowing experience in Libya.

The team’s journey began on Sunday, but their flight was diverted to a remote airport, requiring a three-hour road trip to reach the match venue.

The situation escalated as the team was left stranded at the Libyan airport for over 13 hours without access to food, water, or rest.

Photos of the team sleeping on benches went viral early Monday, prompting condemnation from Nigerian authorities.

However, the team has now landed in Kano after their flight was cleared to take off in Libya.
