Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has agreed to a plea bargain following the Federal Government’s filing of 20-count charges against him.
Emefiele was supposed to appear in court on Wednesday, but neither he nor his counsel, Kehinde Akinlolu, showed up.
According to Sunnews, Emefiele’s absence was caused by a plea bargain policy he agreed to, which resulted in the postponement of his scheduled arrangement on Wednesday.
