Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) arrested Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President Joe Ajaero on Monday morning.
Ajaero was detained at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja while en route to the United Kingdom for an official engagement.
He was scheduled to attend the Trade Union Congress conference in London, which commences today.
The circumstances surrounding Ajaero’s arrest are currently unclear.
