The annual INTERDENOMINATIONAL night vigil organised by Our Daily Manna Prayer Ministry every January is usually power-packed because the vigil holds after the 21 days fasting of the ministry and its members.

The 2017 edition tagged NIGHT OF EVIDENCE, was no different, if anything, it was stupendously powerful. The event held at the Tafawa Balewa Square Lagos, on 27thJanuary and as usual the gathering recorded a huge turnout of people consisting of hundreds of thousands. The arena was exciting, expectant and eventful as the hundreds of thousands of non-denominational members praised and worshipped God in humility, whilst raising their different prayer points to Heaven for a miracle.

The various testimonies of miraculous healings, childbirths, financial breakthroughs were given by members of the congregation, testifying of God’s miraculous goodness in their lives, the Manna Voices Choir, the Children Orchestra group, several praise and worship ministrations and the ‘War Against Haman’ prayer sessions, all heralded the welcome speech which was given by Pastor Flora Kwakpovwe, the wife of the Bishop. She prayed as well as welcomed the various Manna Mountains (INTERDENOMINATIONAL) across the world, before introducing her husband, Bishop Dr Chris Kwakpovwe to the altar.

When Bishop Dr Chris Kwakpovwe started speaking, he notified the crowd of the strict security screenings because of the plans of some people to cause stampede in the event. He enjoined the crowd that they should look up to Jesus and see Him all the way instead of him a mere mortal in preparations for their breakthroughs and deliverances that night. The Bishop also prayed for Nigeria and the three tiers of government. He prayed especially for the Vice President of Nigeria Prof Yemi Osinabjo. He also announced that the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode and his wife sent individual representatives to the event. He called on Mrs Folashade Adekoya, the Head of Service who was there on behalf of Gov. Ambode to read Ambode’s goodwill message, and she was followed by Mrs Joke Adeyemi who represented Mrs Ambode’s message.

Then came the preaching of the WORD by Bishop Dr Chris Kwakpowve, followed by strong Prophetic Declarations as well as onstage deliverances of people from various levels of afflictions and challenges. It was a night of instant healings, wonders and salvations. At the end of the event, the lives of the congregation who came from over 100 countries were transformed and there was EVIDENCE that they have been in God’s presence and experienced Him in His fullness.

It would be recalled that Bishop Dr Chris Kwakpovwe was also honoured recently with an Award (DELTA ICON) in Delta State for his contribution to Christiandom and the marvellous INSPIRATION his daily devotional book OUR DAILY MANNA is doing in the lives of people all over the world.

More feathers are also on the offing and we will sure keep you updated, while you watch out for his various yearly activities.

Gbenga Adeyinka: Celebrating Toks Wahab … Omoluabi Eko at 54

Published

on

As Tokunbo Wahab turns 54, it is only fitting to celebrate not just the years, but the man he has consistently shown himself to be—one defined by kindness, humility, and a genuine love for people.

Yes, he is the Honourable Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, and by every standard, he has done extremely well. His work, impact, and dedication in that office are evident for all to see. But that is not even the thrust of this write-up.

This is about the person.

A proud son of Epe in Lagos, he carries his roots with dignity and grace, reflecting the values of his heritage in the way he lives and relates with people. TKW… Omoluabi Eko—a true embodiment of character, respect, and integrity.

He is a man who shows up. Always willing to assist, to help, to give—without hesitation and without noise. His generosity is quiet, yet deeply impactful. His kindness is not occasional; it is who he is.

Those who know him closely will tell you he is incredibly accommodating. Easy to approach, easy to speak with, and always ready to make others feel comfortable, heard, and valued. There is a simplicity about him that is rare—no airs, no distance—just a calm, grounded presence.

He gives without announcing it. He supports without seeking recognition. He blesses lives in ways that may never be seen publicly, yet remain unforgettable to those who experience his goodwill.

In a world where many complicate things, he remains refreshingly simple. In a space where recognition is often chased, he chooses quiet impact. And when others might turn away, he steps forward.

As he marks this new chapter, I celebrate not just his life, but I also pray that God grants him many more meaningful years—years of continued service, impact, and grace to keep uplifting his people, his state, and nation.

Happy 54th Birthday, TKW Omoluabi Eko, and I wish you God’s guidance, abundant blessings, good health, and protection always. Live long and prosper

In a historic move aimed at easing the pilgrimage process, the state government announced that the first batch of pilgrims who departed for the Holy Land today, Friday, 15th May 2026.

This milestone marks the fulfillment of Governor Lawal’s promise to make direct departures from Zamfara a reality, eliminating the need for pilgrims to travel to other states for airlift. However, the state government has issued a strict advisory to the public regarding conduct at the airport. To ensure security and facilitate the smooth coordination of the airlift operations, escorting pilgrims to the airport is strictly prohibited.

Family members and friends wishing to bid farewell to their loved ones are directed to do so only at the Hajj Camp. The restriction, according to officials, is a necessary measure to prevent congestion and maintain order at the airport premises. Officials confirm that the airlift is now underway at Gusau International Airport. The development has been met with widespread praise from intending pilgrims, who expressed relief at being able to begin their spiritual journey directly from their home state.
