Controversial social media personality Kemi Olunloyo has recounted her encounter with the preacher behind her travails, Pastor David Ibiyeomie. Kemi praised the preacher, the General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, in a lengthy post on Instagram, revealing that she is never going to leave Port Harcourt again because of him.

The HNN blogger said it all started on Wednesday when she walked to his church to worship. She said she felt “lifted” in spirit when she heard the pastor, her one-time sworn enemy, preaching and she made sure to meet him after service.

“I knelt down and told him I was the one he imprisoned, he touched me and my asthma and migraine vanished”, Kemi said as she opened up on her encounter with him. She said Ibiyeomie told her right there that he had forgiven her and she in turn decided to bury the hatchet.

“I told him I was not bitter and have forgiven him too. I have decided to serve God and it will be through Salvation Ministries and him,” she said. The new member of Salvation Ministries further vowed never to leave Port Harcourt.

The singer’s counsel and human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, confirmed the arrest in a post on his official X page on Wednesday.

Adeyanju revealed that his client was detained while performing at a show in Owerri, just days after returning to Nigeria earlier in the week.

He wrote, “Our client, Speed Darlington, a.k.a AKPI, has been arrested by the Nigeria Police in Owerri at his show upon return to Nigeria.”

However, the exact reason for the singer’s arrest remains unclear at the time of filing this report.

It is worth noting that the Nigeria Police had previously arrested Darlington over allegations of cyberstalking fellow musician Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy.

Darlington was initially arrested in Lagos, then transferred to Abuja, where he was detained by the IGP’s Intelligence Response Team in the Guzape area of the city.
