Following the release of the highest-grossing Nollywood movies of the Last Decade by Nigeria’s top film distributor, Film One, Nollywood actor, Eyinna Nwigwe emerges the highest selling Nollywood actor of the decade having featured in the highest-grossing movies of the decade such as Wedding Party 1, Wedding Party2, Living in Bondage and the likes, promises to increase the numbers in 2020 with “Dear Affy” movie set for Cinemas February 14, 2020.

Eyinna featured in the highest-grossing movie of the decade Wedding Party 1 where he played the role of Nonso Onwuka which grossed the sum of N452,000,000 followed by the second highest-grossing movie of the decade Wedding Party 2 where he played the same role of Nonso Onwuka which grossed N435,000,000. He ended the decade with a feature in the Eight highest-grossing movies of the decade, Living in Bondage the sequel directed by Ramsey Nouah where he played Obinna Omego which is currently grossing N141,000,000.

The actor who is well known for his exceptional role interpretation skill has proven he has what it takes to stay in the industry and has promised to bring his magic to 2020’s most anticipated movie, “Dear Affy” directed by entertainment and media entrepreneur, Samuel Olatunji (Bigsam) where he played the role Michael and starred alongside superstars such as Toyin Abraham, Kehinde Bankole, Williams Uchemba, Odunlade Adekola, Chiwetalu Agu, Jide Kosoko, Ali Nuhu, Bimbo Ademoye, and the likes

In an interview with Ebuka on Rubbin Minds, he said “it comes naturally for me, because like I said I live life on my terms, I am not boxed into set standards or how you operate, I go how I feel and I feel originality is key and it comes from self-expression…so yes, talent is not enough anymore, it is just like how love isn’t enough for a relationship, you know the time has changed, dynamics have changed…Talent is still core but it takes more than talent to be seen and appreciated”

Eyinna Nwigwe is definitely someone to look out for in the new decade as he starts his decade with the most anticipated movie of 2020, “Dear Affy” directed by Samuel Olatunji which promises to be the highest-grossing movie Nollywood will ever see in recent times.

The actor took to his Instagram page regarding 2020’s most anticipated movie, he wrote “We start from #Feb14 when @dearaffy will hit the cinemas. Let’s start right, let’s start TOGETHER. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OVER THE YEARS.”

Ekiti State Unveiled As 2020 BON Awards Host [PHOTOS]

Ekiti State, which boasts of the top 10 tourist centers in Nigeria, would be hosting the 12th edition of the BON Awards come December 5, 2020.

This was confirmed when the award crew paid a visit to the executive governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi, at the government office in Ado Ekiti today and the official hosting right plaque was presented to him.

Recall that the last 2019 edition was successfully hosted by the Kano State government in December.

The traveling award this year, according to the founder, BON Awards, Seun Oloketuyi, is in three phases; Children Day Book Reading featuring Please Don’t Touch Me by Pastor Odukoya to be headlined by Her Excellency, Erelu Fayemi, visitations to top tourist locations in the Sunshine State by past winners of the awards and the main event proper.

While accepting the hosting right, the executive governor appreciated the delegation for its patience and assured of Ekiti State people’s readiness to welcome the 2020 edition of the award.

“Even though I’m not a movie enthusiast, I’m married to one who bombards me daily with her analysis. So I can’t miss it.

“Ekiti State is a state of creative art, and we have big names in the industry like Peter Fatomilola, Foluke Daramola, Odulade and many others.”

The governor also stated, “Ekiti is a lot more than what people think we’re and we are very delighted to do this and very much love to be associated with the success of the BON Awards.”

“We look forward to hosting you and be part of the series of events that follow it,” the governor concluded.

Ace Musician Eedris Abdukareem Arrested For Beating Landlord In Lagos

Popular hip-hop musician, Eedris Abdulkareem, has been arrested by the police for allegedly beating his landlord, Oladipo Abimbola.

Abdulkareem was said to have been reported at Area F Police Command in Lagos State.

He was subsequently arrested.

According to available information, Abimbola, who owns the property at Valley View Estate in the Ikeja area, accused the hip-hop star of fraud, harassment, and intimidation.

The confrontation that led to the arrest was said to have occurred on January 3, 2020, after the landlord instructed officials of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company to disconnect Abdulkareem from power source due to overdue and unpaid accumulated electricity bills amounting to N535,000

The artist was said to have stormed Abimbola’s compound over the issue.

The landlord said he was unaware that Abdulkareem was to be his tenant when he rented out the flat.

According to him, Abdulkareem’s wife rented his apartment on behalf of her husband.

He also stated that Abdulkareem is an antisocial and dangerous person who constantly owes him rent and would stop at nothing to carry out his threat of assault.

Although Abdulkareem was said to have admitted having warned his landlord, his counter-accusation was that Abimbola sexually harassed his wife in his absence and refused to respect their privacy by wantonly encroaching on their side of the compound without permission.

He claimed that his landlord has once been arrested for a previous case of sexual harassment against another (female) tenant.

The matter is still with the police.

All is set for a new kind of love experience this valentine as the trailer for the much-awaited romantic comedy, ‘Dear Affy’ is finally released.

The producers of ‘The Ghost and The Tout’ and ‘Seven and a Half Dates’ have now released the trailer for Dear Affy starring legendary and famous stars such as Kehinde Bankole, Toyin Abraham, Odunlade Adekola, Chinedu Ikedieze, Bimbo Ademoye, Hafiz Oyetoro, Chiwetalu Agu, Kolawole Ajeyemi, Ali Nuhu, Enyinna Nwigwe, and fast-rising star, Timini Egbuson.

‘Dear Affy’ is a romantic comedy with a lot of humor, passions, intrigue, ambition and power skirmishes. An amazing plot twist which tells the story of a beautiful career lady who is about to get married to the man of her dream who is on the verge of sealing millions of Naira worth of contract. However, he is faced with the devil and the deep blue sea as sealing the contract is hinged on him having an intimate affair with the female billionaire contractor by all means just a few weeks to his wedding.

The trailer was released today on the movie’s official social media account and all other channels as part of an effort towards building anticipation for the final cinema release date on Feb 14, 2020.

The director, Samuel Olatunji has hinted that people should prepare for an unforgettable experience across the theaters when the ‘Dear Affy’ is finally released.
