GLOWFUX is a unique atmosphere where you have the children of the haves and have-nots hanging out together, playing and sharing happiness without any discrimination. It is also an avenue for members of the general public specially invited as guests to present relief items to the orphanages there present.

Having experienced an impressive outing during its 2018 edition where a remarkable attendance was recorded, the need for hosting the event at more spacious venue became sacrosanct. Also, having put into consideration the challenge of attending the event on Christmas day poses to many who desires to attend and present relief items and gifts to the orphanages, a change in date became inevitable.

And this year edition of the event which is fast gaining prominence within Ikorodu division and evidently spreading across Lagos State due to its principle which is “sharing in the spirit of love, is billed to hold at Labi Oasis Cinema, Labi Oasis B/Stop (Odo eran), Ikorodu Lagos.

Also, this year will witness the induction of new GLOWFUX Young Ambassadors to serve as GLOWFUX ambassadors within their immediate communities (Schools, homes, worship/religious centres, etc) to propagate the GLOWFUX vision. The GLOWFUX Young Ambassadors was introduced as part of the annual event with the aims of giving children between ages 5 to 17 early life exposure to the beauty of caring for others and giving them early life exposure in championing worthy cause and building network of positive-minded people.

Ace Musician Eedris Abdukareem Arrested For Beating Landlord In Lagos

Gbemileke Ajayi

Popular hip-hop musician, Eedris Abdulkareem, has been arrested by the police for allegedly beating his landlord, Oladipo Abimbola.

Abdulkareem was said to have been reported at Area F Police Command in Lagos State.

He was subsequently arrested.

According to available information, Abimbola, who owns the property at Valley View Estate in the Ikeja area, accused the hip-hop star of fraud, harassment, and intimidation.

The confrontation that led to the arrest was said to have occurred on January 3, 2020, after the landlord instructed officials of Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company to disconnect Abdulkareem from power source due to overdue and unpaid accumulated electricity bills amounting to N535,000

The artist was said to have stormed Abimbola’s compound over the issue.

The landlord said he was unaware that Abdulkareem was to be his tenant when he rented out the flat.

According to him, Abdulkareem’s wife rented his apartment on behalf of her husband.

He also stated that Abdulkareem is an antisocial and dangerous person who constantly owes him rent and would stop at nothing to carry out his threat of assault.

Although Abdulkareem was said to have admitted having warned his landlord, his counter-accusation was that Abimbola sexually harassed his wife in his absence and refused to respect their privacy by wantonly encroaching on their side of the compound without permission.

He claimed that his landlord has once been arrested for a previous case of sexual harassment against another (female) tenant.

The matter is still with the police.
