The National Publicity Secretary of pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin, has said a former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, lied when he said that herdsmen had not wreaked havoc in the South West part of the country.
Odumakin, who spoke in reaction to an earlier statement by Tinubu, signed by his spokesman, Tunde Rahman, said herdsmen had in the past attacked a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae, and farmers in parts of the South West.
He listed areas attacked by the herdsmen to include Yewaland in Ogun State, Oke Ogun in Oyo State, Akure in Ondo State and parts of Ekiti State.
He said in the statement on Thursday: “Tinubu has maintained a sinful silence as herdsmen launched vicious attacks on the South-West and other sections of the country with thousands of lives lost in the last three years.
“He can play the ostrich all he wants but we know he was mute when herdsmen kidnapped Chief Olu Falae. He could not find his voice when herders killed people in Yewa, Oke Ogun, Akure, Ekiti and the Middle Belt.
“Neither did I hear a word from Tinubu when herdsmen kidnapped and killed a Permanent Secretary in Osun (where Tinubu and I are from).”
Odumakin said behaved as a federalist when it suited him, adding that cattle herders as businessmen should apply to state governors for land allocation if they were interested in ranching.
He added in the statement: “I do not intend to take issues with him in all the personal attacks and insinuations of disorder of the mind. Why should I when I know that it is chronic abusers of substance that are more prone to suffer from such? Thank God I am not one of them.”
Sanwo-Olu Urges Lagos Landlords To Consider Monthly Rents
The Lagos state government has urged stakeholders in the real estate sector to work out modalities for residents to pay house rents on monthly basis instead of yearly.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos state governor, was speaking on Thursday during a policy roundtable dialogue with real estate stakeholders held in Lekki.
The roundtable, which was themed ‘International Best Practices On Real Estate Regulations’, was organized by the Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (LASRERA).
Sanwo-Olu urged stakeholders to work hand-in-hand with the state government to address the issue of housing deficit and reduce rents to make life easier for Lagosians.
He said the current situation where residents are under pressure when their rents are due is not palatable.
Sanwo-Olu said that the housing deficit in Lagos state is huge, and urged private practitioners to play by the rules.
”The real estate can contribute 20 to 25 percent to the GDP. We need to have clear data where landlords would no longer be demanding one year rent ahead,” NAN quoted him to have said.
“Landlords should see how they can reduce yearly rent to monthly. The housing deficit in Lagos is huge and unacceptable, but the government cannot do it alone.”
The governor said it is clear that there is no proper data concerning the real estate operators in the state thus the need for the LASRERA registration portal.
“This platform will also ensure that we curb bad behaviours either on the landlord side or on the tenant side,” he explained.
“We have a deficit, and even the small one we have is not properly done. People are losing money, people are not being sincere.”
VIDEO: I Can’t Be Alive And You Insult Oyedepo My Father, I Will Kill You, Tear You Into Pieces; You Bastard! – Pastor Ibiyeomie Attacks Daddy Freeze
Pastor David Ibiyeomie of the Salvation Ministries, Port Harcourt in Rivers state went hard on OAP and leader of the Free the Sheeple movement, Daddy Freeze, for always ”insulting his father”, Bishop David Oyedepo.
Daddy Freeze has always taken to his social media handles to tackle and counter most of the things said or written by the revered clergyman, Bishop Oyedepo.
Preaching in his church recently, Ibeyiome verbally attacked Freeze, placing a curse on the day the OAP was born and calling him a “bast*rd” for insulting Oyedepo who he said is his father.
According to Ibiyeomie, Freeze is not a Nigerian but a Somalian who was born inside a ship.
”Insult me I wouldn’t talk but insulting Oyedepo…..that Bast*rd! Tell him, any day I hear him talk about Oyedepo….do they know his father? Does Daddy Freeze have a father? That half-caste who is a Somalian. The day I hear him talk about Oyedepo again, I will deal with him.
Oyedepo may not talk but I can’t be alive and you insult my father.
Who gave birth to him? If he has a father, let him show us his father’s picture. Somebody that they gave birth to on the ship. Does he look like a Nigerian? That’s a Somalian.”
Continuing, the visibly angry clergyman said:
Oyedepo may not talk but I can’t be alive while you insult my father. I curse the day he was born. I can’t be alive and you insult my father. I will tear you into pieces, you Bast*rd!
People who have fathers don’t insult fathers. He is insulting him because he has no father. You can never insult a father if you have a father. He has no father.
Tell him o. Tell him. This is the last time he talks about Oyedepo again. He is a bast*rd. Does he have a father? Who is his father? Let him show his father if he has a father?”
He went on to attack Freeze over his failed marriage. He also insinuated that Freeze doesn’t have a good job as a broadcaster.
”Man who cannot marry. He has no wife. He can’t manage his home and he is coming to talk on Television. Is he not the wife who left him? A man who is a broadcaster? Does he have a good job? ”
Ibiyeomie further stated that he will get Daddy freeze arrested soon.

Churches in Lagos State, on Sunday, held services after over four months’ ban on religious gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu had last week ordered the reopening of worship centers in the state from Friday, August 7, 2020.
Mosques in the state held Jumat services on Friday, while churches had their services on Sunday.
At some of the churches visited by our correspondents, it was observed that children and the elderly were absent in accordance with the directive of the state government.
It was also observed that worshippers maintained physical distancing, wore face masks, and washed their hands before entering the churches.
At the national headquarters of the RCCG, Abutte-metta, there was a big inscription informing members and visitors to wear facemasks.
Ushers checked the temperature of worshippers, who were instructed to wash their hands and writes their names on a register.
Children below 12 were sent back.
Social distancing rule was maintained in the church and monitored by the Pastor in charge of the parish, Adebayo Adeyemo.
Multiple services were introduced. At 8 am, the first service began with 360 worshippers in a hall meant for thousands. The second service had 44 worshippers in attendance.
The General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, welcomed the reopening of the churches, noting that in the presence of God, there is fullness of joy and healing.
At the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Abule Egba, there was provision for hand-washing at the entrance of the church. Worshipers were also seen with their face masks.
At the Christ Faith Tabernacle International Church, Ogba, the service was held for one hour and a half hours. The church also obeyed the COVID-19 guidelines.
At the CAC Palace of Light and Salvation, Egbeda, a member said the church reduced its services to two.
“Before COVID-19, we used to have three services, but we now hold two services,” she said.
In the Yaba area of the state, members of the Lagos Presbyterian Church were seen with face masks and washing their hands as they entered the church to worship.

At the St. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church, Ejigbo, worshippers’ temperature was checked at the gate, while the use of face masks was enforced.
The ‘no mask, no entrance’ rule was also enforced at the Assemblies of God Church, Jakande Estate, Isolo, while two services were held to maintain the social distancing order.
A member of the church told one of our correspondents that a WhatsApp message was sent to members to ensure that the children and the elderly stayed at home.
Members of the Living Faith Church, aka Winners Chapel, Ikorodu, were seen washing their hands and making use of hand sanitizer on the church premises, where three services were held.
An usher in the church, Dele Goriola, said, “We have a team of compliance men to ensure that members comply with the measures put in place.”
