Weeks after the wife of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo cried out that she was left out from all the plans for the forthcoming wedding of her son, Mrs Taiwo Obasanjo has warned Nigerians of the consequences if they go ahead as planned.
Recall that an Ikeja High Court dismissed the suit filed by the groom’s mother, seeking the postponement of the wedding of her son, Olujonwo to Tope Adebutu, daughter of Sir Kessington Adebutu, promoter of Premier Lotto, Baba Ijebu, saying the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the suit because the 33-year-old man is an adult.
We heard that madam Taiwo in a letter to the Methodist Church of Nigeria, said: “I am not against the wedding, all I am relentlessly pleading is for a shift in the date and they turned against me, even on the 11th and 13th of May they are planning to assassinate me or keep me in police custody to allow the devilish wedding ceremony hold.
”Sir, is this a wedding ceremony or a clever, premeditated, devilishly calculated scheme to sacrifice thousands of souls as they come to the feast of death, ostensibly announced as wedding ceremony?
”I am alive and healthy and I am not mad, God used me to convince my son to change his mind to marry this lady called Tope Adebutu, now they want to kill me by all means possible.”
”Please, I want the whole world to know that I am not mad and I am not against my son’s wedding but the whole truth will be revealed by the Almighty God who sees in secret all that is hidden, for the power of the Almighty God is supreme.
”The two dates were chosen and compelled by Satan for them to lure unsuspecting numerous souls to a banquet of death, that will result in strange holocaust in our nation.
”After the wedding, you will be hearing and seeing incidents of plane crashes, fire incidents, multiple road accidents, tankers and trailer killing people, cancers, diseases of kidney, liver, prostrate, eyes issues and diverse health problem causing strange death in people and the economy situation will worsen.”
Madam Taiwo’s said that prophesies and warnings from men of God stated that Olujonwon should not be involved in any celebration before his next birthday. Hmm, she also added that there will be a peaceful protest on that wedding day.

Obaseki: How We Helped Oshiomhole When He Had No Money
Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo, says Adams Oshiomhole, his predecessor, had no money when he contested the governorship election in 2007.
Oshiomhole, a former president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), who ran under the then Action Congress (AC) lost to Oserheimen Osunbor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
But he challenged the outcome of the election in court and was declared winner one year later.
Speaking with reporters after submitting his nomination and expression of interest forms for the 2020 governorship election to Emma Ibediro, APC national organising secretary, on Wednesday, Obaseki said it is wrong for people to say he betrayed Oshiomhole.
The governor said he not only helped Oshiomhole to power but also made sacrifices to ensure he emerged national chairman of the ruling party.
“In life, everybody gets helped, everybody gets assisted. The person you talked about (Oshiomhole), he had no money when he left labour to contest. We knew what we did to make him Governor,” he said.
“I sacrificed eight years of my life pro bono, I collected no kobo to serve him in Edo. Today, we know what we have built because of where we started from. So, when you talk of betrayal, the biggest betrayal can be when people betray a cause when they betray an idea.
“So, when you talk about betrayal, let us be very clear. I want to put it on record that I am grateful, he assisted me just as I assisted him. I know the sacrifices we made to make him national chairman.”
Obaseki, who has been having a running battle with Oshiomhole, warned the APC national chairman to steer clear of the Edo governorship primary election.
The governor said Oshiomhole is “an interested party” and should not be involved in the primary election processes so as to ensure a free election and a chance to reconcile the party.
“I am using this opportunity to call on Comrade Oshiomhole to recuse himself from the Edo nomination process because he is an interested party,” Obaseki said.
“It is against natural justice for a man to be a judge in his own case. So I think the honourable thing to do is to recuse himself and let us have a free process and let us reconcile and build our party.
“I believe that ours is a lawful party and we will do things according to the Constitution of our party. So, direct or indirect, I am certain I will win the primaries but we have to respect our constitution and follow our constitution.”
He added that a single term as governor is not enough for him but that an additional four years would afford him the opportunity to consolidate on his achievements.
“Three years is not enough, four years is not enough to crystalize all these reforms. So, another four years will give me that opportunity to consolidate on what we have done and that is the promise of APC. We are a reformist party, we are a progressive party,” he said.
“That is why I am here today to indicate my interest and my desire to run for another term as governor of Edo so that I can continue in the service of my people.”
On June 22, 2020, Obaseki will be up against Osagie Ize-Iyamu, his PDP rival in 2016, for the governorship ticket of the APC.
Ize-Iyamu is believed to enjoy the support of Oshiomhole.
Edo 2020: Stay Away From APC Primaries, Obaseki Tells Oshiomhole
The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has asked the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, to recuse himself from the party’s governorship primaries in Edo State because he is an interested party.
Obaseki made the call while speaking to newsmen after submitting his expression of interest and nomination forms at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja, on Wednesday.
He said, “It is against natural justice for a man to be a judge in his own case.”
According to him, he and his colleague Governors paid a visit to the APC National Leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, as part of efforts to strengthen the party and reassure him that they remained committed to building the party.
He said, “For me and my colleague – Governors, we can’t see the party we are building destroyed. We should all drop our egos and work for our party.”
He noted that it was “wrong for any human to try to play God”.
Retired Army Captain Arrested For Allegedly Defiling Four-Year-Old Niece In Calabar
The police in Calabar have arrested a retired army captain, Bassey Ekanem, for allegedly defiling his four-year-old niece.
The incident happened at Ekanem’s residence at 12, Edim Ibangha Street, Big Qua Town, Calabar.
According to a source, Ekanem, who is in his 60s, claimed he was under the influence of alcohol.
A neighbour, who pleaded not to be named, revealed that Ekanem, “had sent the lady living with him to the market; then he lured the little girl into his apartment and started fingering her and broke her hymen in the process.
“It was the victim’s younger brother who is about two years old who told their mother that grandpa put his hand inside her sister’s bum-bum before their mother raised the alarm and the matter was reported to the police.”
The Principal Counsel, Basic Right Council Initiative, James Ibor, said, “This particular matter cannot be swept under the carpet and the suspect must face the full wrath of the law even though they are related.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo, said, “The man is in our custody. I won’t say much until we get the medical report on the incident.”
